Customization+

Start with your theme, reference images, site plan and opening date. We develop the display around the space and the way visitors will experience it.

Dimensions+

Confirm the full footprint, height and viewing distance, along with the smallest access opening. These details guide the display size and transport sections.

Electrical+

Share the local power supply, operating hours and venue requirements. Agree the lighting, controls, cable connections and maintenance access for the order.

Weather Planning+

Tell us about rain, wind, drainage and ground conditions. Review materials, electrical protection and anchoring with the team responsible for the site.

Animatronics+

For moving figures, define the actions, lighting, sound and control sequence before engineering begins. Leave room for moving parts and maintenance access.

Pricing+

A useful quotation starts with the design, dimensions, destination and deadline. Materials, movement, packing, transport and installation support affect the scope and price.

Project Requirements+

List the drawings, material specifications, electrical documents and installation records your venue requires. Confirm which documents and checks are included before production.

Before Production

Questions to Settle Before Production

What to expect from the first brief through production, delivery and site assembly.

What custom lantern services does Star Factory Lantern provide?

We develop the design and engineering, manufacture the displays, prepare export packing and coordinate delivery. Our workshop handles steel framing, lighting, fabric work, finishing, trial assembly and agreed checks. Remote installation guidance or on-site technical support can be included for festivals, parks, shopping malls and other commercial venues.

Can you work from a sketch, reference image or existing design?

Yes. Share the theme, dimensions, site plan and opening date, along with any sketches or reference images. We can develop a concept or turn an approved design into production drawings and transportable sections. Confirm who approves the creative direction before production begins.

Do you support international shipping and installation?

We prepare displays for container transport, coordinate shipping and provide the agreed documents for the destination. Confirm packing, unloading access, local equipment and the installation support included in the quotation.

Can you support a complete lantern festival project?

Yes. A complete project can include theme development, display selection, route planning, production, delivery and installation support. Start with the festival planning guide when you need to plan the whole visitor route.

What should we review for an outdoor installation?

Share rain and wind exposure, drainage, ground conditions, power supply, operating dates and maintenance access. Agree materials, component specifications, fixings, assembly and checks with the teams responsible for the site. Structural and electrical requirements must also meet the venue's local approval process.

What information do you need for the first quotation?

Send the project type, location, dimensions, theme or reference images, opening date and delivery destination. Include the installation window, access limits and budget range if known. Note any drawings, inspection records or supporting documents your venue requires.

Where can we see the manufacturing process?

The lantern manufacturing guide explains design review, framing, surfaces, lighting checks, packing and assembly preparation. For an outdoor venue, also review outdoor lantern planning.

How do lanterns and LED light sculptures differ?

Fabric-covered lanterns use a lit surface to show characters and scenes. Exposed LED wireframes emphasize outlines and points of light. Compare LED light sculptures when choosing the surface and lighting style for your venue.

What affects the cost of a moving figure?

Size, surface detail, movement, controls, lighting, outdoor conditions and transport all affect the scope. The animatronic cost guide explains these factors; use the custom animatronics page for the movement brief.
