01. The Challenge: Transforming a Cityscape

For the Chinese New Year festival, Star Factory Lantern was honored to be chosen to create the official Ox year lanterns in Singapore's famous Chinatown district. This was a large-scale project that involved the complete design, production, and installation of hundreds of custom lanterns to celebrate the event.

Our mission was to bring the streets to life and create an unforgettable festive atmosphere for both residents and visitors, bridging traditional culture with modern illumination technology.

02. The Centerpiece: A 5-Meter Giant Golden Ox

The most impressive feature of the display was the 5-meter (16.5-foot) tall giant golden ox. This massive custom lantern stood as the glorious centerpiece of the celebration.

With its powerful stance and brilliant golden glow, it perfectly symbolized strength, prosperity, and good fortune for the new year. Built with industrial-grade steel and weatherproof silk, it quickly became the main attraction and a highly popular spot for tourist photos.

03. The Atmosphere: Hundreds of Themed Lanterns

To create a fully immersive experience, we produced hundreds of smaller, individual ox lanterns. These were placed along the main commercial streets of Chinatown, creating a continuous and vibrant path of light and art.

Each lantern was crafted with its own unique character and pose, utilizing our rich color palettes and high-density LED arrays, filling the area with immense energy and festive cheer.
