1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Star Factory Lantern ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website (starslantern.com) and our customized manufacturing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, please do not use our services.

2. Custom Orders & Manufacturing

As a specialized lantern and light sculpture manufacturer, the majority of our products are made-to-order based on client specifications.

• Design Approval: Before production begins, clients must formally approve all 2D vector designs and structural blueprints. Once production commences, design alterations may incur additional fees.
• Production Timeline: Estimated lead times will be provided in your commercial contract. While we strive to meet all deadlines, timelines may be subject to force majeure events.
• Quality Assurance: All products are manufactured in our Zigong facility and undergo strict internal LED and structural testing before shipment.

3. Pricing and Payment Terms

All quotations are provided in USD unless otherwise specified. Due to the bespoke nature of our industry, our payment structure is generally as follows:

1. A non-refundable deposit (typically 30% - 50%) is required to initiate design and manufacturing.
2. The remaining balance must be cleared before the products are loaded for international shipping.

Any bank transfer fees or currency exchange costs are the responsibility of the client. Prices do not include import duties, local taxes, or customs clearance fees unless explicitly stated in your DDP/DDU contract.

4. Global Shipping and Logistics

We provide comprehensive global shipping services via sea or air freight.

• Transfer of Risk: For FOB or CIF terms, the risk of loss passes to the client once the goods are loaded onto the shipping vessel.
• Packaging: All items are securely packed in bubble wrap and reinforced plywood crates to withstand long-distance transit.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All original designs, blueprints, and concepts provided by Star Factory Lantern remain our exclusive intellectual property until a full buyout is negotiated. Clients retain full ownership of any existing trademarks, IPs, or proprietary characters they provide to us for manufacturing purposes (e.g., licensed mascots or movie characters).

6. Warranties and Liability

We stand by the quality of our craftsmanship. Our products typically come with a limited warranty covering electrical components and structural integrity under normal outdoor use.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Star Factory Lantern be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost revenue or profits) arising out of the use or inability to use our installations, particularly those resulting from extreme weather, improper local installation, or unauthorized modifications.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate commercial agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with international trade laws and the local laws of Sichuan, China.
